At That’s Mandarin we aim to do much more than provide outstanding Chinese language courses – we also want to offer our students support and advice regarding many aspects of living in China. If you need assistance with any of the following areas please contact us.
Accommodation
We can help you to find a great place to stay in Beijing or Shanghai. We can give you advice and recommendations on properties close to our Dongzhimen Chinese school or Shanghai Jingan Chinese School or we can look for a shared apartment for you: from time to time our students have space available in their apartments around Beijing or Shanghai. We are happy to help them find other people looking for a place to live – if you would like us to pass on your details please let us know. We have a board with various notices – if you are looking for someone to take up a room in your place please give us a poster and we will do this for you. Visas
It goes without saying that in order to learn Chinese in China you’ll need to be living in China, and getting a visa can be a confusing process. Since we opened our school five years ago we have helped many students with their visa requirements. The visa rules can change quite quickly and so it is difficult to provide a definitive list of requirements or prices. However, we have links to a variety of visa agencies who can advise on the most updated requirements and provide the visa that suits your needs. We offer this service free of charge to our students, all you have to pay is the visa and visa agency costs.
The type of visa you need is wholly dependent on your current circumstances, (i.e. if you are currently in China, or due to arrive from another country), and how long you intend to be here. I have to say That's Mandarin is absolutely the BEST SCHOOL I have ever experienced with learning mandarin. The teachers are fantastic, and teaching is entirely designed around the student and what they want to learn. This is entirely opposite to my experience of studying mandarin at university in China and in the UK. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone I meet and when I study mandarin again, in the future, it will be with That's Mandarin and no other school.
