Teaching materials for absolute beginners through to upper-intermediate students - We teach Mandarin through stories we have designed over years of teaching to quickly equip students with the vocabulary, grammar and confidence needed to start using the language. These stories incorporate vocabularies and grammars used in everday life. As we progress, new grammar and vocabularly will be introduced and further explanation provided, whilst weconstantly re-use that what you have already been taught.
Teaching materials for advanced students - at this level the aim is to test your Mandarin in a range of circumstances that require specialized vocabulary and grammar. We will watch films and television news, deepening your understanding of Mandarin as it is spoken at a native level. We can also develop courses tailored to your individual language needs. e.g. classical Chinese, business, literature, newspaper, law, etc. Self-selected materials are adopted for appropriate level students.
Link Word - for many foreigners beginning the study of Mandarin, learning vocabulary - from the characters through to the tones - can seem like the most daunting of challenges. Whilst we would never like to claim it is 'easy' we believe through the use of our Link Word method, many of these fears can be overcome. Progress Reports - Over the course of the study period your progress will be assessed. Areas where you feel you have particular concerns can be reviewed. The levels from beginner through to advanced have been specifically designed so that within a set number of hours students reach the next stage in our proficiency levels. Together we will monitor your progress and ensure you are constantly improving your Mandarin.
