6 Tips to Help you Pass HSK
pass the HSK exam with ease
But no matter which level you are going to pass, there are a few useful tricks that might help you manage your time and effort, and help you pass the test.

HSK Practice Test vs. Reality
Keep in mind that the real HSK test is usually more difficult than the practice tests online.

First - Read, Then - Listen
During Listening, try to read the task and the answers before you actually start listening. Sometimes you can find the right answer in the first few seconds of the recording, and save yourself some time to check the next task. Besides, checking the answers in advance will help you understand the task. Try to keep up with this pace.

Reading Tricks
Treat the Reading section in a similar way. Try to read all the answers first, and only then – start reading the text. It can save your time, which is especially valuable during HSK5-6 when you have so many tasks to do within a very short time.

Paragraphs & Questions
For the longer reading tasks, when you have a long piece of text with a few questions below, there’s another trick. In most cases, different questions are related to different paragraphs and placed in the same sequence. So if you found the answer to the first question in the first paragraph, you can move on to the next paragraph, without spending time to read the whole text.

Focus on the Details
In the Writing section, when writing a summary, spend some time remembering some details – such as the names of characters, places, or some important keywords. This will give you a few extra points.

Just Retell
Besides, in the Writing section, your task is to simply retell the story – not to share your opinion about it. Don’t waste your time adding irrelevant details.
