Can you help me apply for a visa?

Yes, as an accredited institution, we provide the necessary documents to assist with your student visa application.

Can I take the HSK exam at That’s Mandarin?

Yes, you can register for the HSK exam at our school. We also offer popular HSK preparation courses for students aiming to attend Chinese universities or apply for jobs in China.

What if I am a complete beginner and can't understand basic Chinese?

Don't worry, our teachers will use minimal English or other languages (if needed) and rely on pictures, videos, signs, and gestures to help you understand them. As your Chinese improves, the use of English or other languages will decrease, gradually providing you with an immersive learning experience.

What makes Chinese courses at That's Mandarin different from universities or other schools?

A lot! With nearly 20 years of experience, we use innovative methods to help you learn Chinese quickly. As the saying goes, 'You go to university for a visa or to pass the HSK exam, but at That's Mandarin, you actually learn Chinese.' Universities usually have 20-30 students per class, but at That's Mandarin, we keep it to just 8. What takes a semester at university, you can learn in just one month here.

Does That's Mandarin offer accommodation?

Yes, we offer various accommodation options, with Homestay being the most popular for helping students quickly integrate into Chinese culture and improve their Chinese. Check out our accommodation options.

Does That's Mandarin offer internship or job opportunities after graduation?

Yes, if you perform well, we may recommend you to our partner companies. Our international marketing and product teams are also always looking for talented interns or full-time employees.

Can I customize my classes at That's Mandarin?

Of course! Based on your learning goals, you can choose to focus on specific language skills — for example, Listening and Speaking over Writing and Reading. If your goals include preparing for and passing the HSK, you might also want to focus on learning more about the Chinese grammar and sentence structures. If you're interested in learning Chinese characters, you can add our special Hanzi course to your curriculum. If you'd like to work on your Chinese pronunciation, you can also add our brand new Pinyin course to your schedule — which is available to all levels from Beginner to Advanced, by the way. If you are interested in a specific field, you might choose a specialized course such as Chinese for Business, Diplomatic, Medical purposes etc.

Is That’s Mandarin accredited?

Yes, That's Mandarin is officially licensed by the Chinese Ministry of Education, ensuring the highest standards in Chinese language education. We have also recently been accredited by the International Association of Language Centres (IALC) and recognized for Bildungsurlaub, allowing eligible students to receive educational leave benefits in Germany.
