Students’ Feedback

What Our Students Say

Chose to take 30 online classes with That's Mandarin and found them to be really productive and helpful. Before I took 1 semester in college but I feel I learned more in 10 classes with That's Mandarin than a school semester.

The teachers are very nice and teach following my learning rhythm. The materials include some animated videos and the system has a dictionary that is helpful for beginner levels! I get to choose when I want my classes and haven’t had any schedule problems whatsoever.

Frequently Asked Questions

GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What is the course schedule?

As the whole course if customized, you can have classes anytime you want (within That’s Mandarin working hours). Our campuses are open from 8:00 am till 9:00 pm on weekdays and from 9:00 am till 6:00 pm on weekends.

Who are the teachers?

Our teachers are all native Chinese speakers who are highly-qualified and experienced in teaching Chinese to foreigners. Our teachers are university graduates with majors in Chinese language education or Chinese literature. They have also previously obtained a “teaching Mandarin as a second language” certificate before they joined us and successfully completed That’s Mandarin’s mandatory Teachers Training Course (TTC).

What teaching materials do you use?

We developed our own teaching and learning methods. We use our own Chinese learning platform for all our classes. There you can find all the materials, read the teacher’s comments, review your lessons, and even schedule your classes.

Will the classes be taught in English?

All of our classes are taught in Chinese to give students a fully immersive Chinese experience. Even for absolute beginners, our teachers will only use limited English to help you understand. Our teacher will use pictures, videos, signs, and gestures to help students remember and understand new material.

Do you provide accommodation?

Yes. We can help you to arrange your accommodation in China. The accommodation options are different for different campuses. Please contact us directly to get more information.

What will be my HSK progress after this course?

It depends on your current HSK level and the level you want to reach. The system is simple:
- Beginner to HSK1: 16 lessons;
- HSK1 to HSK2: 16 lessons;
- HSK2 to HSK3: 32 lessons;
- HSK3 to HSK4: 64 lessons;
